Inner Light 75+

A photographic study of life after 75, exploring the qualities of kindness and wisdom that a portrait can reveal.

Organised as a photography competition, six months of fieldwork brought together around 1,600 portraits, more than 500 questionnaires and over 200 photographic essays.

The planned art book will bring these materials into a reflection on ageing and the relationship between everyday life and spiritual experience. “Inner light” is the project’s artistic question, rather than a measurable physical property.
