A question that keeps growing.
Our work began in 2011 with sociological research into people’s values, beliefs and worldviews. Over the following decade, it expanded toward anthropology, combining surveys and interviews with artistic and experimental approaches.
That journey led to Applied Time Anthropology: an inquiry into how our experience of time shapes the way we live and relate to one another.
Ideas you can encounter.
We make and co-fund films, photographic projects, books, digital experiences and research. Some invite a moment of personal reflection; others create space for sustained inquiry.
Across these forms, we ask how time can be experienced beyond schedules and measurements — through memory, attention, imagination and our openness to others.
Room for serious inquiry.
TAF supports focused research with a clear question, a realistic timeline and tangible outcomes. Support can take the form of full funding or co-funding.
Alongside scholarly writing, we welcome work that reaches people through film, digital media, education and exhibitions.
Work with us.
We welcome conversations with researchers, artists, educators and people working across disciplines. If you have a question, a project or a different way of looking at time, we’d like to hear from you.
